For this project, I was tasked with designing an original typeface that embodied the concept of dynamism. My goal was to create a design that conveys energy, movement, and a sense of forward momentum.
Scalpera is a bold, dynamic typeface defined by sharp geometric cuts and a forward-leaning slant, embodying precision, speed, and energy. Inspired by the slice of a katana, Scalpera’s letters appear cut apart, sections falling away to reinforce its visual impact and sense of motion. Its angular interruptions and slanted forms disrupt traditional letterflows, creating movement and tension, while open counters and exaggerated joins ensure legibility at any scale
